During a podcast by Sarah Koenig, called Serial: The Alibi. She is walking us through her investigation on a murder that happened one day in 1999. A 17 year old boy was convicted of murdering a young girl one day after school who goes by the name of Hae. Sarah goes through her thoughts on whether she believes Adnan is truly guilty of this crime or if someone else was like his friend Jay, closer to the middle of the podcast she talks about the lack of case they had built on Adnan and talks about several possibilities the cops should have gone through before ruining a young boys life.

I was completely and utterly hooked to ‘The Alibi’ podcast the minute I began listening to it. The way it was conveyed through the podcast was amazing and the story was so disheartening and complicated along the way. Through recordings and involvement of other people’s voices it increased my will of wanting to hear more. The format of presenting this information was different but is allowing the listeners to have their attention on just listening to the episode which is a good thing as you can listen to it wherever you are. While when reading there is a possibility of getting tired easily, getting dry eyes from the starring at the paper. From only the first episode, a lot of information was given in an hour long podcast. Sarah remained clear and concise throughout the podcast making it easy to understand her. I will defiantly try to listen to the remaining episodes in Series 1.

Since ‘Serial’ had turned out to be such a famous digital recording, it’s difficult to envision how the victims family would feel. As I would like to think, I imagine that they might feel a blend of feelings since the entire circumstance is very befuddling. I’m certain the family feels harmed that through the digital recording they are remembering the catastrophe they had lived only a couple of years back, just as all the individual data about their girl being uncovered to people in general, as anyone can tune in to the podcasts. Then again, I do feel like the family might be grateful that they may, in the end, discover who had killed their girl – as there is no real confirmation that Adman had been the reason for Hae’s awful passing.

As mentioned in the podcast, Sarah had talked about the difficulties of memory toward the start of the podcast and actually, I experience difficulty reviewing what I did yesterday, not to mention a month and a half previously. Now a days, we are fortunate enough to have various types of technology which makes reviewing back on specific days a lot simpler, considering numerous adolescents will in general take a great deal of pictures for the duration of the day. Also another factor ,now due to the technology advancements it would be easier to solve cases as such.
